The album is a mini-disc of four songs reflecting the struggles and victories of men and women in recovery and working towards it. The main track In This House was specifically written by Rory Yates to celebrate the work and achievements of drug-free therapeutic communities throughout the world. All proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated to the European Federation of Therapeutic Communities who commissioned the work to celebrate 30 years of delivering quality self-help oriented rehabilitation to those in need. Some songs from a live performance at Glasgow Concert Hall (featuring a group of therapeutic community residents on the choruses) can be heard here:

Rory Yates (better known as “Rowdy Yates” in the recovery movement) started playing in rock bands in the mid-1960s: a career cut short by heroin addiction. He started playing again some years ago and has built a reputation for writing and performing songs about addiction and recovery. He has worked in the addiction field as a counsellor, trainer and researcher for over 40 years. Other artists on the album include: Eoin Coughlan (of Nomos); Elaine Cormican (of Liadan); Art O’Laoire (of Cartoon); and Cathal Clohessy (of Bosca Ceoil).
